How a points-based grade works
In a points system every assignment adds to one running total. The grade is total points earned divided by total points possible. A 50-point test counts five times as much as a 10-point homework set because it has five times the points.
- Leave a row empty to skip it.
- Extra credit can be entered as earned points with 0 possible.
- Use the weighted calculator instead if your syllabus gives categories percentage weights.
